Let’s Play and Friends of Tividale Park are holding an event Saturday 23rd from 11.30am to 2pm. Great Weather, Tea and Coffees, Leisurely walk, learn about some history and a bit of nature. You can park in the park between 11.30 and 11.55 (normally locked) as our volunteers will be marshalling the gate. Meet by the Toddlers play area as the new Community Centre not yet ready so we will have gazebos and chairs set out instead. Its free! Everyone welcome.
In 2016, The Friends group installed Bird and Bat Boxes as well as insect homes in the park. In 2019 we are holding a park walk event and conduct a survey to formally map their locations having lost a few trees and bird boxes in 2018. Our bug hotels were installed by Princes Trust. Our Birdboxes were purchased via Postcode lottery and made.
This is a free family day so came along for a walk around the park and get a different perspective! We have the Let’s Play team for some awesome FREE fun activities, crafts and games including den building, scavenger hunts and challenges.
Did you know there was a Tividale Hall owed at one time by Lady Monnis or there are are coal mines in the park? Come find out more!
Unfortunately the community centre is not yet ready for opening (waiting on electrical wiring to be complete).
We will be situaed in a Gazebo with the Let Play team by the toddlers Play area.
FOTP stewards will be identified by Hi Viz Tabards or Green Fleeces
