Park Plans 2019 – Community Centre

Since 2016, The Friends of Tividale Park have debated the need and costs of a meeting room / activity centre in the park. We feel this would be a real asset for the park and the community.

  • Conversion of part of the disused football changing rooms has been quoted in the region of £10,500 (Nov 2016). Taking on the lease would potentially mean taking away an existing asset for the park.
  • This page shows some of the plans and progress towards the goal.

Photos from April 2017 and before clearance

The area identified has now been cleared and at the March 2017 Friends of Tividale Park meeting, it was reported that the council may have a suitable facility

This page will be undated as we find out more.

On 28/07/17, Friends of Tividale Park representatives met with Sandwell MBC Parks and Open Spaces Manager.

It was agreed the area would be cleared (has become over grown including self seeded trees).

Council to be kept informed about progress should we be successful in getting a donation of a modular building from the Highways Agency. Unfortunately this was not successful, but a 24 x 10′ modular building was located with in Sandwell Council and the land was cleared as shown.
